Ion Exchange Separation and Purification Methods
Basics and Applications in Chemistry and Chemical Industry

Ion exchange separations are essentials parts of different techniques and technologies. Various applications can be found in pharmacy, medicine, food production, waste treatments, microelectronics, nuclear industry, and many other areas. Ion exchange is a powerful tool in chemical analysis and scientific research.
The course can be useful for students studying Chemistry, Chemical Technology,
Materials Chemistry and, as well, for industrial specialists working with ion exchange or separation processes.
The knowledge obtained shall provide an understanding of chemistry, applicability, chemical engineering, chemical technology, benefits, and applications of the ion exchange separations. Principles explained in the course can be applied for many other (non-separation) processes. For example, ion exchange is an essential part of processes taking place in soils and grounds. Importance of ion exchange in biological systems can not be underestimated. Many other areas can be named. The specialists can find applications of this knowledge in widest areas of human activity
The course will be taught in remote mode (distance learning) using all available tools: Internet, a book and other published materials, important links, schemes, etc. It is intended for wide auditory of students and specialists. Language of the course is English.
